Business Skill Development for Emerging HR Leaders 

Given the complexities in the workplace and the talent shortage, the need is great for strong HR/talent leadership. Next Gen Talent was developed to address this need and build a strong pipeline of highly qualified human resources professionals. 

Next Gen Talent equips early career HR and talent leaders with the business acumen necessary to drive change and lead through the challenges that businesses face. Led by seasoned human resources professionals and consultants, and utilizing the expertise of guest speakers who are proficient in various aspects of the business industry, program participants can expect to develop the awareness and skills needed to lead their HR functions with a business-first mindset. The program focuses on building business skills such as sales and marketing, technology, finance, networking, operational excellence and professional speaking. Participants are selected via an application process and, once accepted, commit to the full one-year program.

Executive Presence

Executive presence is a critical skill for emerging HR leaders. To strengthen this skill, we’re focused on communication and listening, positive body language, credibility, clarity, conciseness and confidence.


sales & Marketing

With the help of industry experts, we explore successful sales processes, the reach and impact of marketing, and the importance of sales and marketing to organizations and the HR Industry.


Technology

Excited about what’s on the horizon with HR technology? We are too! These sessions explore technologies that make HR functions more impactful, effective and efficient while not ignoring the legal implications.


Business Acumen

Understand how HR’s role and function fits into the big picture and helps an organization achieve results.



mentors & Accountability partners

Participants are paired together and act as accountability partners to keep each other on track while working towards achieving goals. Participants are also paired with an HR leader who acts as a mentor during the program.

During the finance portion, our future HR leaders receive a crash course on financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
